About Me
Biography
Namaste, my name is Ramji Paudel, I’ve been practicing as a Remedial Massage Therapist since 2011.
I began my journey in massage therapy in Pokhara, Nepal, under the guidance of Rob and Sue Ainley. Originally from the UK, Rob and Sue established the Seeing Hands School of Remedial Massage and Sports Therapy in 2005, along with the Seeing Hands Blind Massage Clinic, to provide professional massage training and employment opportunities for visually impaired therapists. The training program was based on a modified version of the curriculum taught at the London School of Sports Massage (LSSM).
I trained at the Seeing Hands School of Remedial Massage and Sports Therapy and was awarded my diploma in 2011. Since then, I have been practising professionally, beginning my career at the Seeing Hands Blind Massage Clinic. Please cLick here to view my certificate.
I come from Kapilvastu, a region in Southern Nepal close to Lumbini, the birthplace of Buddha. I am one of thirteen children, and one of four who were born visually impaired. I currently live in Kathmandu with my wife, Lalu.

REMEDIAL MASSAGE
Remedial massage is a form of massage that works to remedy or fix a problem in your body. This may be an acute injury that has just occurred, a long lasting chronic problem that is always there or problems that may come up from time to time like headaches or muscle aches.

DEEP TISSUE MASSAGE
Deep tissue massage is exactly as it sounds. It is remedial massage that aims to affect more profound (deep) soft tissues. The main point of difference with deep tissue massage is the pressure and the speed.

SPORTS MASSAGE
Sports Massage incorporates a specialised focus on sports injury prevention and treatment. Generally it is used for sports people or people who exercise regularly. Pre and post game massage will be a little less firm, using faster and longer strokes.

I visit Nepal since more than 10 years. Since a few years I have discovered the outstanding quality of the massages of the blind in Kathmandu. Today I had two hours of intense massage by Ramji. I was again very surprised of the quality of his massage and his knowledge of the human body. I travel a lot and experienced massages all over the world. Ramji is one of the best massages I have ever received. His hands touch most sensible in the moment. And he has command over so many techniques of releasing tension from muscles and strain from clogged ligaments that I did not feel pain. Just afterwards I had to drink a lot of water to compensate for the detox reactions of my body. He treated an old injury in my shoulder in a way I had never experienced before. Time will tell wether the changes he inflicted will be of duration. Would be too good to be true.
While I trust that Ramji can also do wonderful relaxing massages I would strongly recommend not to waste his excellent skills for that. Give him carte blanche and let him do, what he thinks your body needs. You will be pleasantly surprised about the results...

Ramji is very talented and experienced. Skillfully and patiently he finds and relieves all the stress and tension in your muscles. I am a cyclist and especially after those hard workouts his hands help to relieve all the stiffness and tension to help the recovery. You can really tell that he feels every little twist in your sinews and knows exactly how much pressure to apply to work them out!

Ramji is by far the best massage therapist I have encountered in Nepal. He truly gives an excellent deep tissue massage. He knew exactly which areas needed relief and, in fact, targeted the muscles under my shoulder which had never been massaged before (and I have received hundreds of massages all over the world). Ramji also massaged my teen son who had been suffering from a pulled muscle in his back. My son was very nervous that he would be further hurt by massage. Ramji really made my son feel comfortable and at ease, and more importantly, brought him much relief.

I have tried chiro ,remedial massage, nomadic massage ,physiotherapy in Australia. This was first time I tried Ramji in Nepal …I am truely glad I did… it was amazing and in my opinion the best result I have had so far for my pain issue.
It is said when you lose one sense (in Ramji’s case- his eye sight) your other senses like touch and hearing is heightened… in his case is really true.. he could feel every muscle fibre!! It was just right !!
